Abdramane is a PhD student in Mathematics at the Université de N’Djaména in Chad. He is co-supervised by Julien Arino, Mahamat Salah Daoussa Haggar (Université de N’Djaména, Chad) and Patrick Memphis Tchepmo Djomegni (Northwest University, Potchefstroom, South Africa).
Abdramane works on models of spread of cholera, focusing on the situation in the Lake Chad Basin.

Julien Arino
Professor

Julien Arino is a Professor with the Department of Mathematics at the University of Manitoba and a member of the (informal) Mathematical Biology group.
His research is in mathematical biology, with particular focus on the role of movement in epidemiology and epizootiology. As part of his work, he has become more and more interested in data scientific aspects.
Julien teaches mathematical modelling and mathematical epidemiology in a variety of settings and have recorded some lectures in that context, which he posts to his YouTube channel.

Adriana-Stefania Ciupeanu

Adriana-Stefania is an Individual Interdisciplinary Studies program PhD student at the University of Manitoba, with main department the Department of Mathematics and other department the Department of Statistics. She is co-supervised by Julien Arino (main supervisor) and Saman Muthukumarana (Department of Statistics). She has also been heavily involved with the team of Michael Yi Li (Mathematical and Statistical Sciences, University of Alberta).
Adriana has worked on a variety of topics ranging from mathematical modelling in epidemiology to data science related issues.

Hippolyte is a PhD student in Mathematics at the Université de N’Djaména in Chad. He is co-supervised by Julien Arino, Mahamat Salah Daoussa Haggar (Université de N’Djaména, Chad) and Patrick Memphis Tchepmo Djomegni (Northwest University, Potchefstroom, South Africa).
Hippolyte works on the spread of bovine tuberculosis (bTB) in nomadic mixed herds in Chad.

Clotilde Djuikem
Postdoctoral fellow

Clotilde is a postdoctoral fellow working in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Manitoba. She has a PhD from the Université de Nice (France) and an MSc from the the Université de Douala (Cameroon).
Clotilde has worked on coffee leaf rust, a fungal disease of coffee. She has also been working with Julien Arino on problems related to infectious disease modelling, with particular focus on the spread of diseases in fish.

Solomon works on the spread of malaria in southern Africa and more precisely, in the region where Mozambique, South Africa and Zimbabwe meet.
